TASC Football was founded by Head Coach Tommy Andrew, a professional football coach with over 16 years’ experience developing young players and delivering high-quality Primary School PE across the North East.

Based in Bishop Auckland, TASC Football has grown into a trusted coaching provider and grassroots football pathway, offering football sessions, holiday camps, school sport, team training, small group coaching and individual player development.

At the heart of TASC Football is a simple philosophy:

We believe children improve best when they are challenged, encouraged and inspired. Every session is designed to build confidence, technical ability, decision-making and a genuine love for the game.

Tommy brings a strong football background, having held coaching and scouting roles with professional clubs including Leeds United, Middlesbrough FC and Newcastle United. His experience within academy environments gives TASC players access to a professional standard of coaching, while still keeping sessions fun, positive and age-appropriate.

Over the years, Tommy has helped support the development of many young players who have gone on to earn opportunities within professional academy football. With over 60 players progressing into academy environments, TASC Football has built a reputation for identifying potential, developing talent and opening doors for ambitious young players.

But TASC Football is about more than producing players.

We are passionate about building confidence, character and resilience in every child who attends. Whether a player is taking their first steps in football, looking to improve their skills, or aiming for academy opportunities, our aim is to create the right environment for them to thrive.

Through our coaching programmes, school partnerships and grassroots club structure at Witton Park TASC Football Youth CIC, we provide a clear pathway for players to enjoy football, develop at their own pace and be supported by experienced coaches who genuinely care.

Witton Park TASC Football Youth CIC, was launched May 2023 with roughly 20 players, as look to the 2026/27 season we will have 250 members playing across 30 teams in weekly organised league football. 

In addition to this we have anywhere between 40 and 50 players training weekly, in our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 sessions.

We bring professionalism, energy and detail to every session, while creating an environment where children feel valued, challenged and excited to come back. From nursery and reception football right through to competitive youth teams, TASC Football is committed to giving young players the best possible start in sport.
